Prep-Work:

• Watch at least ONE Prime Minister’s Question Time and answer the question: why do some politicians call it "Gardener’s Question Time"?
• Watch the video quiz and have a go at the answers (the one released as part of the post-16 process) Find and take the Political Compass Test online (www.politicalcompass.org)
• Keep an eye on the headlines and get a list of three MPs in the Cabinet, three in the Shadow Cabinet and three backbenchers who have done something news-worthy that sparks their interest (and be ready to share why)

• Tony Blair’s autobiography or David Cameron’s autobiography (in both cases I recommend borrowing from libraries rather than buying new)

• Watch Sir Ken Robinson’s talk on education (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDZFcDGpL4U
• Keep a brief one-week journal on how their family operates: who organises what and how; who supplies discipline and how – these are private and not for sharing, but to think on before starting study
