Summer Half-Term 2026
"As I write this introduction to our first half-term summer newsletter the sun is (at last) shining and warm weather is forecast for the Whitsun break and we are all thankful and feeling confident and energised. "Our pupils are all keen to play a key role in school supporting their peers and being visible in our school community. When we launched the anti-bullying and well-being ambassadors' application process, we were overwhelmed by the number of applicants that came forward. We could have filled the roles many times over. For those who were selected and trained they spent a full morning or afternoon with peers from all age groups understanding the importance of the roles they had signed up for."
"One of the highlights of our school year was the House Plays earlier this month involving nearly 400 students from all year groups. Written and directed by our Sixth Form House Captains, these productions showcased creativity, teamwork, and the strength of our school community."
"As we reach the end of another incredibly successful academic year, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the achievements, experiences, and values that make our school such a special place. We were absolutely delighted to be recognised in The Sunday Times Parent Power guide as one of the top ten schools in the East Midlands for academic success: a testament to the hard work, dedication and excellence of our students and staff. academic year, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the achievements, experiences, and values that make our school such a special place.
