Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise provides a real-life learning opportunity that introduces young people to the realities of work. Students will work in a team to set up and run their own Young Enterprise student company under the guidance of a local volunteer, taking part in regional competitions with the aim to make it to the national finals. Students make all the decisions about their business, from deciding the company name, managing company finances, and selling to the public through pop up shops and the bespoke e-commerce platform, Trading Station.

Alongside running the business, students’ complete assignments and tasks using support from the Young Enterprise online platform. Students will gain the practical business experience, enterprising mindset and employability skills needed to help them build successful futures. By completing an online self-assessment at the beginning of the programme and then again at the end, students can receive a personalised certificate to evidence the skills they have developed from taking part in Young Enterprise.
