Position: Teacher of Humanities (Religious Studies/ Geography/ History)
TLR available as Head of Religious Studies for the right candidate
Contract: Full-time or part-time, Permanent
Start Date: 1 September 2026

The Ecclesbourne School is a vibrant and oversubscribed single academy trust with a thriving Sixth Form located in Duffield, Derbyshire.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Humanities to join our school. We are a forward-thinking, inclusive school with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) in Religious Studies/History/Geography and have experience of, or enthusiasm for, teaching your specialist subject at A level.
  • Foster curiosity, debate, and empathy through real-world connections.
  • Join a supportive Humanities department with excellent resources and shared planning.
  • Contribute to the faculty’s extra-curricular programme, including clubs and trips.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS with a Humanities specialism.
  • Has a genuine love for their subject and the ability to inspire our students.
  • Is committed to inclusive, high quality teaching that leads to strong student outcomes.
  • Enjoys collaboration and wants to grow – ECTs are very welcome to apply.
