Position: Teacher of Business
Contract: Part-time, Maternity Cover
Start Date: 1 September 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspiring Teacher of Business to join our successful department at The Ecclesbourne School on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. We anticipate that this role will be for 15 hours (3 days) per week, but may consider more hours/days for the right candidate.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Business specialist to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and for the right candidate Key Stage 5. You will be joining a well-established team that prides itself on excellent results and engaging, real-world learning. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking for a new challenge, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive environment.

The Role:

  • Teach Business at Key Stages, 3, 4 and, 5.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire students and develop their commercial awareness.
  • Contribute to the department’s bank of resources and schemes of work.
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive team to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including optional extra-curricular clubs or enterprise events.

  • Holds QTS with a specialism in business or a related field.
  • Has strong subject knowledge and can make abstract business concepts relevant and exciting.
  • Is committed to inclusive practice and ensuring every student achieves their potential.
