"Something happened last week that I want to share with you because it epitomises what is so special about our lovely school... "
" The students of Ecclesbourne did an incredible thing last week. At 9.00 am on Thursday morning the school minibus set off for Pear Tree Primary School in Derby. The bus carried two head girls and 5 of our Library group. Also on board were 2200 books donated by our pupils to the children of Pear Tree. It was a joy to see the delight among the primary school children as every pupil in the school got to choose two books to take home."
"At the end of a long and incredibly busy and productive term we would like to wish all our parents, carers and friends a very happy and restful Christmas. Our students deserve the highest praise for the way they have thrown themselves into every aspect of school life this term. As usual their energy and positive attitude have made it a term to remember."
"Welcome to the November Newsletter and as you will see from what follows the autumn term has been packed with activity. Since we last wrote to you we have been busy with house plays, school trips and recruiting and training student leaders to their new roles as anti-bullying ambassadors, wellbeing ambassadors, peer mentors and buddy readers. Many more students are student councillors, house captains and prefects and so it is no surprise that 98% of students say they value the opportunities to take on responsibility that Ecclesbourne affords them.";
