If on the National Offer Date for Secondary Schools (Monday 1st March 2021) you find that the Local Authority has not offered your child a place at The Ecclesbourne School you are entitled to appeal this decision.
Appeals should be made in writing and submitted to the school for the attention of the Clerk to Governors. Your appeal will then be heard by an independent panel.
However, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus and to adhere to social distancing measures, the Government introduced new temporary legislation for Admission Appeal hearings, on 24 April 2020. These temporary regulations have now been extended until 30 September 2021. You can read the revised legislation here
Therefore it is highly likely that the appeals will not be heard in person this year but the Independent Clerk will be in contact with you once a date and format for the appeal hearings has been agreed.
