Message From The PSFA Chair
On behalf of everyone associated with the Ecclesbourne School PSFA I’d like to thank all the parents, teachers, friends and pupils that have been so supportive of the events during 2011 and for making them so successful.
It’s also an excellent opportunity to thank all the PSFA members for their on-going hard work; as well spending a lot of time planning and running the social events; they also support parent evenings and provide bar services at numerous school events throughout the year; what a great team of people to be involved with.
As in previous years, 2011 saw some really fun events giving parents and friends the opportunity to meet socially and directly support the school. The monies raised through tickets, raffles, bars etc. are all fed back into Ecclesbourne School for the benefit of the pupils. Recently supported purchases include a new kiln for the art department; dress making manikins; safety matting for the trampolines and most recently new stage lighting for the main hall. The PSFA also support the cinema vouchers for pupil attendance, the merit ties and the prize day prizes.
The PSFA always welcome new members and would actively encourage you to come along to the meetings and get involved. The AGM held each September is also an great opportunity to learn more about the PSFA and Ecclesbourne School; this year we had a particularly engaging and informative presentation from Mr McMamara, President of the PSFA.
Looking forward to events in 2012; the Quiz n Chips nights are particularly popular, the next one is planned for early March, keep an eye out for the confirmed date and book your tickets early to avoid disappointment!. There is also a music concert, textiles department fashion show, rags to riches and a nearly new sale.
