Tim Hubbard writes "If I remember rightly (the photograph) was taken by Stephen Cornell with a timer so that he is on the picture as well. The quality of the photo wasn't very good because his flash wasn't working so he had to take it in murky conditions and push the speed of the film. This made the picture very grainy."
