Helen Johnson says "I have a very strange memory of the entire ladies chorus having to wear a pair of black tights on their heads - stuffed with more chopped up tights - and wound around the head to resemble a Japanese hair-do. From afar I think it looked rather good but up close very unflattering."
"The production of Pirates of Penzance was fabulous - I have fond memories of Alan Bradshaw (Geography and Sports Master) swashing his buckle. Goodness knows who persuaded him to do it. There is a video/cine film of the whole thing somewhere which I remember watching. It would be great to find that!"
