Chester July 4th 1967
 | | These photographs were taken on the Form III visit to Chester on 4th July 1967 (about four months after "The Little Piper" was performed). Every year, the lower forms went on an educational visit - Form I went to Lincoln by coach, Form II to York by train (which made that particular trip all the more interesting for some of us!) and Form III to Chester. All the trips were on the same day, which must have called for some organisation - I wonder if anyone ever ended up at the wrong place! The first picture shows Chris "Goof" Goldsmith and Christine Wright down by the Dee-side. |
| The second photograph shows John Wallett with his back to camera and Chris Barnett next to him in profile. In the background is Dave Keene (standing) and Clive "Phipp" Phippard in front of him taking a drink. To the right, Peter "PK" Kennerdell is looking towards the camera. | | |
 | | It always seemed depressingly fitting that these school visits were all to places that could only muster what were then fourth division football teams. The predictable question, of course is "Where are they now...?" It would be nice to know. |
