DSS Intro & Departments
Several departments have their own websites as part of the e-learning scheme, areas themed on and built for specific subjects.Separate from the main site, teachers can post content, information and downloads for students.

In short, the scheme allows for any school department to have its own, dedicated sub-site hosted on the main Ecclesbourne website. The information, posted content, pictures and weblinks on there are specific to that department and its needs.
All the content and pages on there, barring a few specialist sections published in-house by the designer, are posted by teachers via the e-learning system. This they can do from home, within school, or anywhere with a net connection.
This allows for homework being distributed online, cut-down in time spent photocopying and distributing sheets and resources, and provides a way for teachers to stay in touch with groups of students via posted memos and pages. |
